Results of the 4th Family Fun Run in Salou Sunday 4th May 2008
Another Fantastic Event!
Some 650 people of all ages and nationalities took part in the Freesia Group’s 4th Annual Family Fun Run for Charity in Salou on Sunday 4th May 2008. There were three categories: 10kms, 4kms, and children. There was also a prize for the best fancy dress.
There were serious runners, people in fancy dress, some on roller skates, some pushing prams and pushcairs, and people who just walked it. It was a fabulous sunny day with a great party atmosphere and a good time was had by all.
At the end of the race each participant received a medal with a local Salou monument, a goodie bag, a t-shirt and fruit, a soft drink and croissants.
The event was opened by Salou’s Mayor, Sr. Antonio Banyeres, who also presented the trophies at the end of the race.
Over 10,000 euros was raised, which will be divided between the three Spanish cancer charities Freesia supports : the CNIO (Centro Nacional de Investigación Oncólogica), the Tarragona branch of the AECC (Asocación Española Contra el Cáncer) and AFANOC

All in all it was declared the best Fun Run ever!
