Another fantastic evening!
The Freesia Group celebrated their 3rd annual Gala Dinner Dance to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day on the evening of Friday, 13th February, 2009 at the Club Nautic, Salou.
There was a cava reception with typical “pica pica” followed by a
three-course dinner with wine, cava, coffee and liquers.
Rodney Piper was MC and auctioneer for the night. He also arranged the
fabulous entertainment, which included a magic show by himself and Glen Bonnar, music
for dancing provided by DJ and Adam Parsons with his brilliant Tom Jones act.
There was a raffle of some super prizes donated by local business people and personally-signed photos from Michelle Pfeiffer and Judi Dench, dedicated to the Freesia group. There was also an auction of various paintings generously donated by local artists, in particular Laura Alvarez from Salou.
Almost 3,000 euros was raised from the event, which will be divided between the three Spanish cancer charities supported by the Freesia Group - CNIO, AECC, and AFANOC.
