The Best Christmas Fair Ever!

29 November 2006 | Annual Christmas Fair,Past events

Over 9,000 Euros was raised at the The 5th Annual Christmas Fair at The Titanic, Salou on Saturday 25th November.

What a fabulous event!  Hundreds of eager visitors packed the Titanic for the best Christmas Fair ever.  The event was programmed to open at 12.00, but by 11 am the public were already waiting at the doors.
There were dozens of stalls with fabulous home-made produce such as Christmas cakes, jams, pickles, etc., handicrafts, decorations, Christmas cards, toys, nearly new clothes, hundreds of books, hand-made jewellery, white elephant, etc.  There were several stands set up by local businesses, including British supermarkets, a local butcher, artesan goods, Christmas decorations, flowers and plants, even tarot reading.  As customary there was a tombola with hundreds of great prizes and a fantastic raffle with over 150 amazing prizes. There was a children’s corner with Santa Claus where the children received a photo and a gift.

For lunch, some of the local restaurants had set up delicious hot food at the bar restaurant, O’Brian’s, next door.

At 12 noon, Sr. Ferrán, the Mayor of Salou, declared the Fair open and emphasized that the objective of the Fair was to raise as much money as possible for the two cancer charities that the Freesia Group support, the CNIO and the AECC.

Angie and Jimmy did a marvellous job as the MCs and kept the crowd entertained throughout the afternoon.

The Freesia Group wishes to thank George Caravanes, the proprietor of the Titanic, for allowing us to use the location once again for the event.  Special thanks to all the local businesses who so generously donated the enormous amount of goods to raffle, sell, and for the tombola.  A huge thank-you to everyone who donated all the food on sale.  An equally huge thank you to all the volunteers and helpers for giving up their valuable time and for all their hard work in setting up the Fair.  It was a wonderful effort by all those concerned and we hope to be able to count on your support for all our future events.

Thank you all!!!!!!

The Freesia Group.
