Kay’s 9th Annual Sponsored Walk

Dear Walkers,

Hello again. Another year has flown passed and it’s that time of year again to do our Annual Sponsored Walk. This is our 9th Walk…..unbelievable….where have the years gone?

I am still deciding exactly where to do the walk, as usual it will be a last minute thing, but this letter is to confirm the date which is Saturday 25th February. Meeting at 10.00 am in the morning at the same place as last year…The restaurant El Retiro, Hotelet, N340 Vilafortuny, Cambrils.

What’s most important, is that we have an excellent turn out again this year. Everyone is welcome…old friends and new..and as the more seasoned “Annual Walkers” know my walks are never difficult, usually around 7 kms and mostly flat….you all know why….although I must say I have been in training during the last 6 months I walk 4 – 6 kms most mornings now, so I’m in better condition than in previous years??

This walk is always great fun, plenty of fresh air with lovely views and great company and we finish off with a delicious meal afterwards…..what better way to raise money for the Freesia Group?

Please get people to sponsor you. This is the essence of the walk…the more sponsorship money raised…the better we will do. Ask your friends, enemies, neighbours and family – anyone you can blackmail into sponsoring you on this walk….and if you really know no-one who will sponsor you, you can always come along and pay the participation fee of €5 per person.

I will send further information on venue, etc. in the very near future.

I look forward to seeing everyone on the 25th February.
